Last weekend I went to the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts to visit a photography exhibition “Capture the Moment: the Pulitzer Prize Photographs“. Because this exhibition is very brilliant and I got many thoughts about these photographs. Following I am going to introduce five of my most favourite photographs.

First of all, I would like to brief what is the Pulitzer Prize photographs. Pulitzer Prize is a US award for achievements of newspaper and journalism. There are fourteen categories in Pulitzer Prize. Two of the prizes are about photography that are Breaking News Photography and Feature Photography separately. This exhibition collects each winner’s photography compositions for the past 70 years.

Following I am going to show five photographs that are my favourite.

The first one is Joe Rosenthal’s Pulitzer Prize winning photo:

The second one is “Faith and Confidence”.

The third one is pick up from Manny Crisostomo’s series of photographs.
That is depicting student life at Southwestern High School in Detroit.

The forth one is taken by John Kaplan.
And it’s depicting lifestyle of seven 21-years-olds across the United States.

The last one is Enrique’s Journey.
